Netflix Shares Poster Art and Release Date For Their Series Adaptation of LOCKE & KEY

Netflix has announced that its series adaptation of Locke & Key is set to premiere on February 7th, 2020, and they also shared a piece of poster art. The series is described as a “coming-of-age mystery about love, loss and the unshakable bonds that define family.”

The 10-episode series is based on the IDW comic book series from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez for IDW. The series follows “the three Locke siblings (played by Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup and Emilia Jones) and their mother (Darby Stanchfield) who move into the mysterious Keyhouse after the murder of their father and husband, respectively. In Keyhouse, they discover magical keys that may be connected to the mystery of their father’s death.”

There have been a few attempts over the years to get this project made. At one point in 2011, Fox actually got a pilot episode made and screened it at Comic-Con, but then nothing ever happened with the series. It’s good to see that Netflix was actually able to make it happen! This is a great story and I’m excited to see it brought to life.

Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill co-showrun the series and it also stars Bill Heck, Laysla De Oliveira, Thomas Mitchell Barnet, Griffin Gluck and Coby Bird.
