It looks like after Netflix was kind of a silent bystander for the most part of Sundance, they’ve come in hot and bought the rights to Voltage Pictures’ Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. The streaming service spent a cool $9 million on the purchase. The film stars Zac Efron as Bundy and is heavily from the viewpoint of his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by Lily Collins.

The film will still get a theatrical release so that it will qualify for awards, but we will all be able to view it not too long from now from home on Netflix, which makes me a happy girl. Joey got to see the movie last week while he was at Sundance, and you can read his review here.

And here’s the teaser trailer for you to enjoy:

Are you excited to watch Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile on Netflix?
