Netflix Unleashes the First Badass Trailer for THE WITCHER with Henry Cavill

“The worst monsters are the ones we create.”

Netflix brought The Witcher to Hall H in San Diego Comic-Con today, and that’s where they dropped the first awesome trailer and a few clips for the highly anticipated fantasy series. Henry Cavill (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich all showed up to talk about the show, and I love what they are doing with the series!

The footage that was screened was spectacular! I think fans of the book series and video game are going to love what they show delivers. The trailer they shared at Comic-Con has been released online for the rest of the world to experience and I think it’s going to get the fans super pumped!

While on stage, Cavill talked about how big of a fan he is of the series and that when he found it it was getting made he pushed super hard to get the role of Geralt. He was going after the role before anything was even in development! He admitted that he was annoying the hell out of Hissrich to the point where she told him he needed to back off until they actually had something developed and ready to take to actors. So, he was patient, and after they had met with over 200 other actors for the role, they came back and offered it to Cavill.

Here’s the synopsis for the series:
