Netflix Wants to Get a GRAND THEFT AUTO Game for Its Streaming Service

Netflix Games launched in 2021, and since its launch, it’s been struggling to get subscribers to notice that it’s there to take advantage of. Most of the games they’ve released are based on some of their streaming shows such as Stranger Things, Sonic Prime, and The Queen's Gambit, but Netflix is trying to expand.

In a recent report from The Wall Street Journal, we learn that the streaming service is looking to boost its offerings by partnering up with third-party game publishers, including Take-Two Interactive. The report then claims that Netflix is trying to get a Grand Theft Auto game and make it available through the service.

We don’t know if they are looking to add a GTA game that already exists or if they are looking to develop a new game exclusive to Netflix.

As of right now, the video games available through Netflix exclusively work through the mobile app. Users can download various games to their mobile devices, just as they would a game through the App Store or Google Play. The big difference is that Netflix mobile games do not have in-app purchases.

It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes of this. One thing is for sure, though, Netflix needs to do more to get people interested in going to their game section. I personally don’t know anyone who has visited it to download any of the games.
