Netflix's Announcement Trailer for NEON GENESIS EVANGELION Reveals the Anime Series Is Coming in June!

Netflix acquired the streaming rights to Hideaki Anno’s incredibly awesome mecha anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, and thanks to an announcement trailer, we’ve learned that the series will drop on the streaming service on June 21st, 2019!

That will include all 26 episodes of the series as well as the movies such as The End of Evangelion and Evangelion: Death (True)2. This is the first time ever that the series has been available to stream. Hell, the series has been hard to watch outside of Japan in general, so the fact that it’s coming to Netflix in this quality is pretty freakin’ cool!

The story is set 15 years after a cataclysmic event, “Evangelion follows a mysterious organization called Nerv as they fight against alien invaders known as Angels. The only thing stopping another disaster is a group of teenagers who pilot giant mechs known as Evangelion units.”

If you’ve never seen this anime series, you’re in for one hell of a crazy ass ride!

Neon Genesis Evangelion hits Netflix 6.21. All 26 episodes of the mind-bending mecha anime - along with both films EVANGELION:DEATH TRUE² and The End of Evangelion - will be available to stream worldwide for the first time in history. Follow NX on Netflix for more!
