Netflix's ARCANE Animated Series Wins 9 Annie Awards Including Best Series

I’ve been trying to spread the word of how awesome of a series that Netflix’s Arcane is to everyone. Some people have taken my advice and watched, while others still have yet to take the time to watch it. Everyone I know that has watched the series, though, has loved it!

Well, here’s more proof that the animated series is as great as I’ve been saying it is! Arcane recently won every category that it was nominated for at the 49th Annie Awards, which is a total of nine. Here’s the full list of awards that it took home:

  • Best TV/Media – General Audience (When These Walls Come Tumbling Down)

  • Best Character Animation – TV/Media (The Monster You Created)

  • Best Character Design – TV/Media (Some Mysteries Better Left Unsolved)

  • Best Direction – TV/Media (The Monster You Created)

  • Best Production Design – TV/Media (Happy Progress Day!)

  • Best Storyboarding – TV/Media (When These Walls Come Tumbling Down)

  • Best Voice Acting – TV/Media (Ella Purnell as Jinx in When These Walls Come Tumbling Down)

  • Best Writing – TV/Media (The Monster You Created)

It deserves every single one of those. Arcane was one of my favorite projects to come out last year. Arcane found itself up against other 2021 favorites including Love, Death + Robots and Bob’s Burgers.

Arcane Season 2 is currently in the works, but we don’t know when it will be released. I can’t wait to see the story continue, though!
