AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER Season 2 Trailer Cranks Up the Action as Aang Enters the Earth Kingdom

Netflix has released the trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, and it gives fans a much better look at where the live-action series is headed next. After teasing audiences with an early first look back in March, this new footage dives deeper into the Earth Kingdom storyline and introduces one of the franchise’s most beloved characters in full force... Toph.

The trailer throws Aang and the gang into Ba Sing Se, the massive Earth Kingdom capital where things are clearly far stranger than they first appear. Fans of the animated series already know the city carries a pretty unsettling vibe beneath its polished surface, and the live-action adaptation looks ready to lean into that tension.

There’s also plenty of bending action packed into the footage, including new scenes of Aang training with Toph as he continues his journey to master all four elements. Toph is expected to play a huge role moving forward, and from the footage shown so far, she already feels like a scene-stealer.

Season 2 adapts Book Two: Earth from the original Nickelodeon animated series, shifting the story deeper into the Earth Kingdom as Aang works to strengthen his Earthbending abilities.

It’s easily one of the most fan-favorite arcs from the animated show, especially because it includes storylines like “Appa’s Lost Days.” Netflix hasn’t revealed whether that emotional episode will make the jump to live-action yet, but fans are definitely going to be hoping it does.

The new season arrives about two years after Season 1 debuted, and there’s another thing viewers will notice. Gordon Cormier has visibly grown since filming the first season. That’s just part of the challenge when building a long-running fantasy series around younger actors while production schedules stretch across multiple years.

If you’re a fan of the first season, I’m sure that you’ll like what is being teased for Season 2. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 premieres on Netflix on June 25, 2026.
