Netflix's BRIDGERTON Season 3 Trailer Finds a Budding Romance Between Colin and Penelope

Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming third season of their hit drama Bridgerton, featuring Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton’s characters at the forefront of the story, as their characters’ friendship slowly simmers into full blown passion. 

Bridgerton Season 3 will include a total of eight episodes that are split into two parts. The first four episodes premiere on May 16, and the next four debut June 13. 

Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling romance book series. Season 1 featured the love story between Daphne and her husband, Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).

Season 2 followed an enemies-to-lovers theme as it tracked the romance between Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

The Shondaland series new episodes will shift the focus to Colin and Penelope. Netflix’s official season 3 synopsis reads: “Penelope enters Season 3 finally ready to give up her longtime crush on Colin. However, that doesn’t mean she’s done with love. Instead, Penelope has decided it’s time to take a husband — and preferably one who will give her the freedom to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from the prying eyes of her mother and sisters.”   

Daniel Francis (Stay Close), Sam Phillips (The Crown), and James Phoon (Wreck) are joining Bridgerton for its latest season. Check out the trailer below:
