Netflix's CARMEN SANDIEGO Animated Series Gets a Poster, Seven New Images, and a Premiere Date
A couple years ago it was announced that Netflix would be developing a new Carmen Sandiego animated series. Now, today Netflix has shared with us a new poster to share with you along with seven new images! It was also announced that the series will premiere on Friday, January 18th, 2019.
This series is in addition to a live-action film that is also being produced and written by Game Night writer Mark Perez. Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) is set to play the character in both the animated and the live-action film. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) is also set to voice Sandiego’s chief accomplice and friend Player.
The animated series will consist of 20-episodes and the stories will focus on Carmen’s present day heists as the world’s most renowned thief, and will also cover her mysterious past that led to her becoming a mastermind criminal.
I’ve enjoyed the adventures of Carmen Sandiego since I was first introduced to her as a kid and I’m kind of excited to see how this new animated series and live-action film turn out.
