Netflix's Live-Action Adaptation of the Anime ONE PIECE Adds New Cast Members
Netflix has announced new cast members for its upcoming adaptation of the hit anime One Piece. The new cast members include Morgan Davies (The Evil Dead), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Aidan Scott (Action Point), Jeff Ward (Hacks), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark), and Vincent Regan (Troy).
Davies will play Koby, Paulino takes on Alvida, Scott will portray Helmeppo, Ward takes on Buggy, Belcher will play Arlong, and Regan plays Garp.
They join the previously cast, Iñaki Godoy (Go, Youth!, Who Killed Sara?) as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu (Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter, Pacific Rim: Uprising) as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd (Fear Street, Hunters) as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson (Greenleaf, All Rise) as Usopp, and Taz Skylar (Boiling Point, Villain) as Sanji.
One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore a fantastical world of endless oceans and exotic islands in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” to become the next Pirate King.
Steven Maeda is a co-writer, showrunner, and executive producer on One Piece, and Matt Owens is also co-writing and executive producing.
The 10-episode series comes from Tomorrow Studios and One Piece publisher Shueisha.
