Netflix’s ONE PIECE Season 2 Reveals Tony Tony Chopper in First Look Promo Spot
Netflix just gave us our first look at Tony Tony Chopper for Season 2 of its live-action One Piece series, and you can check out the adorable little guy below.
Ever since Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation turned out to be a surprise hit, fans have been waiting to see how the series would handle one of its most lovable characters, a blue-nosed talking reindeer who’s also the ship’s doctor.
When Season 2 was confirmed, creator Eiichiro Oda teased the Straw Hats’ next crew member, saying in a message to fans, “From here on, it’s going to be a big adventure! The Straw Hats will be setting foot into the Grand Line. There will be tons of new characters, and of course, we’ll finally be meeting Chopper!!”
Now we know what the live-action version of Chopper will look, and while the footage is brief, it’s enough to get fans excited.
Season 2 of One Piece is currently in production, but Netflix hasn’t dropped a release date just yet. We do know, however, that the next chapter is diving straight into some beloved arcs from the original manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. That’s where Chopper makes his debut, alongside characters like Katey Sagal’s Dr. Kureha and Mark Harelik’s Dr. Hiriluk.
The cast for Season 2 includes Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, and Joe Manganiello stepping into the role of Sir Crocodile.
Chopper’s arrival marks a major emotional and thematic turning point for the crew. He’s not just comic relief, and he’s not just a cute mascot. Chopper brings a ton of heart to the Straw Hats, and his backstory is one of the most memorable in the series.
