Netflix's VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER Has a 78 Episode Commitment, Season 3 Premieres in 2017!
DreamWorks Animation's Voltron: Legendary Defender is one of the best animated series, and if you aren't watching it, you missing out on some great entertainment! If you already are watching it, then you'll be happy to learn that Netflix isn't wasting any time on getting season three to the fans!
According to Den of Geek, who saw a Voltron: Legendary Defender poster at New York City Toy Fair, Netflix will release 13 brand new episodes in September of this year. It was also revealed that Netflix has a 78 episode commitment, which means there's going to a least be a solid six seasons, which is rare. How cool is that!?
If the series is doing well, I imagine Netflix and DreamWorks Animation will continue the series after the commitment is up, unless the series creative team already has an end game that they are leading up to that will conclude the story they set out to tell.
It was also confirmed that "ten episodes of Classic Voltron would premiere on Netflix in March with 'new content added.'" I have no idea what that added content will be, but I'll definitely be watching to find out.
I've been a fan of the Voltron series ever since I was a kid, and it's been a blast watching this new series. I love that Netflix has put so much support behind the series. I'm ready to watch the next chapter in the Voltron saga!
