Neve Campbell Set To Star in Netflix's THE LINCOLN LAWYER Series
Neve Campbell is set to take on a lead role in Netflix’s upcoming series adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer. She will star alongside Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven), who is playing Mickey Haller, who was previously played by Matthew McConaughey in the film adaptation.
The series is based on Michael Connelly’s crime novel series and David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Mr. Mercedes) has been developing it.
The series will be based on the second book in The Lincoln Lawyer novel series, titled The Brass Verdict. The first season will center on Mickey Haller, “an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.”
Campbell will play Maggie McPherson. “Maggie is Mickey’s first ex-wife, a passionately committed Deputy District Attorney known to colleagues as ‘Maggie McFierce’ for her unwavering dedication to her job. Although frequent tensions (both professional and personal) erupt between Mickey and Maggie, underneath it all they still care very deeply for one another. They are also both intensely loyal and loving co-parents to their tween-age daughter, Hayley.”
The series will consist of 10 hour-long episodes which are said to be “complex and mysterious arcs that fans of the books will know and love with a mix of light-hearted humor and a dose of family dynamics.” I’ll be looking forward to seeing how this turns out!
