Never-Before-Seen Photos Surface of Heath Ledger Applying His Joker Makeup in THE DARK KNIGHT
Some never-before-seen photos recently surfaced of the late Heath Ledger applying his Joker makeup for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. They offer an interesting behind-the-scenes, candid glimpse at Ledger creating his version of the iconic Batman villain, which later earned him the "Best Supporting Actor" Oscar for his incredible performance.
A caption with the photos came with a reminder that Nolan “used the scenes where the Joker has makeup all over his hands when he didn't have his gloves on.” That make up was on his hands because Ledger was the one actually applying the makeup to his own face. I always liked that little detail.
