New 7-Minute "Briefing Trailer" and Poster Art for Hideo Kojima's DEATH STRANDING
Hideo Kojima has been teasing a 49 minute trailer for his crazy looking new game Death Stranding. That trailer did premiere at Tokyo Game Show 2019 recently, but it has not been released online. Instead, Kojima Productions released a new seven minute “Briefing Trailer” that offers a little more of a tease of what we can expect from this mysterious game.
With all of the footage and information that we’ve seen, it’s still hard to tell what the hell is going on with this game! We do know that the game is about making connections and bringing people together. Norman Reedus plays Sam Porter Bridges who is said to no longer be a Strand, but he is sent on a journey to perform a task nobody else is able to complete. This will lead to re-establishing the United Cities of America (UCA) and help rebuild the country. Here’s the synopsis:
In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.
The game also stars Mads Mikkelsen as Cliff, who is a researcher who speaks to a weird baby in a pod. He also plays the role of a badass commander of a squadron of skeletal soldiers. The game also stars Lea Seydoux as Fragile, Margaret Qualley as Mama, Guillermo del Toro as Deadman, Nicolas Winding Refn as Heartman, Tommy Earl Jenkins as Die-Hardman, Troy Baker as Higgs, and Lindsay Wagner as Amelie.
Death Stranding is scheduled to release on November 8th for PlayStation 4. I also included some poster art below created by by Pablo Uchida.
