New ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Footage Screened Showed Lots of New Footage Including The Ghost in Action!
During Disney's big presentation at CinemaCon, Marvel showed off a new trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp that was loaded with all kinds of cool new footage! The trailer put a big focus on Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp and there are some incredibly fun action sequences that involve her. The footage also offered us our first footage of Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins. We also finally got to see Ghost's powers in action!
I absolutely loved the humor of this Marvel franchise, they have a lot of fun doing really absurd things and the visuals are what make them so great! One of the first things we see in the footage is Paul Rudd's Ant-Man in his Giant-Man form riding on the back of a truck next to Walton Goggins' villainous character Sonny Burch. Ant-Man is hitting the side of the truck, but things are going the way he had hoped, so The Wasp pops up in the truck and starts beating the crap out of everyone inside. It's at this point that Scott Lang's daughter Cassie tells his dad he needs a sidekick.
There's also a scene where Hank Pym (Michael Douglass) is talking to Luis (Micheal Pene). Hank says that he opened the Quantum-realm up to a villain known as The Ghost. Hank is going to Luis and his crew because he needs their help in getting something that Hank needs. Luis points out that they are the right team for the job because they robbed him at one point.
There are then a bunch of action shots of The Wasp fighting people, and in the process showing off her abilities. Then for some reason, there's a clip where we see a giant ant playing the drums! It was a very WTF!? kind of moment.
We also get to see The Ghost in action, and this villain has the crazy cool ability to pass through solid objects. At one point we see her jump through an SUV. The way this looks visually is pretty rad as well.
There's some amusing banter between Ant-Man and The Wasp regarding their different styles of fighting. During one part Ant-man tells Wasp, "You go low and I go high," but then The Wasp responds with, "I have wings. Why would I go low?" So they end up switching it up.
There's a scene where Luis is freaking out after he shrinks in size with Ant-Man and The Wasp while driving an SUV. And the footage comes to a close with Scott Lang and Lawrence Fishburn, who was Goliath, comparing how big that they've gotten using the technology. It's here that Lang reveals his biggest size of 65 feet, compared to Goliath's 21 feet. It was just funny listening to them comparing sizes.
I have no idea when this trailer will be released but I hope that you get to see it soon! Part of the story will focus on Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne entering the quantum realm to rescue Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer). Here's the official synopsis:

Peyton Reed is directing Ant-Man and the Wasp, and it will be released in theaters on July 6th, 2018.
