New ASSASSIN'S CREED SYNDICATE Trailer Gives Us The Lay of The Land

For me, one of the most striking elements of the Assassin's Creed franchise has always been how consistently amazing the locations have looked in each game. The development teams do tons of research to be able to vividly recreate entire explorable cities, often with a number of high-profile landmarks with graphics that look good enough to print out and hang on your wall. Regardless of stagnant game mechanics or controversy about a lack of playable female characters, the locations have remained a constant high point in the series — and Assassin's Creed Syndicate looks to build on that and fix those other issues as well.

We've already seen videos about the improved mechanics and new playable character Evie Frye, and the latest trailer for the game concentrates on the Victorian London setting, giving us a good sense of the diverse locations we'll be able to traverse as we battle our way through our quest.
