New AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Rumor Claims Captain America Will Go Head to Head With [Spoiler]

It’s starting to feel like there are new rumors every week regarding Marvel’s next major event film, Avengers: Doomsday, and we still have a lot of weeks to go!

This latest one is being reported by many industry scoopers (via CBM), and it is that Doomsday will feature a fight between Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell)… but probably not the versions we last saw on screen together.

There have been different versions of these characters in projects like What If…?, and with the multiverse in play, we never know who could crop up. The rumor goes on to claim that this matchup will include a "Good Steve vs. Evil Peggy."

As with all rumors, take it with a grain of salt and wait to see how the story shakes out. Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.
