New AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Rumor Claims Fans Will See Big Screen Debut of a Fan Favorite Disney+ Series Character
Avengers: Doomsday’s sprawling cast list has been mostly revealed, with fans excited to see the return of heroes like Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), as well as the Fantastic Four- Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, the introduction of the old school X-Men, the return of Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers/Captain America, and the Thunderbolts, now known as the New Avengers, comprised of David Harbour, Lewis Pullman, Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, and more, as well as the superheroes from Black Panther’s Wakanda.
This seems like a pretty large cast, but we know from the way Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame played out, we will see more cast members join the ensemble in the 11-month wait we have ahead of us, and maybe some cast members will be kept a surprise? Probably not, but we can hope.
One recent rumor claims to reveal a character that will be making his big screen Marvel debut after having starred in a popular Disney+ Marvel series. According to scooper Daniel Richtman (via CBM), Owen Wilson will return as Mobius M. Mobius in Avengers: Doomsday.
Wilson appeared as the fan-favorite TVA Agent in both seasons of Loki, and went on to become one of the most popular supporting characters from any of the Disney+ shows so far.
He was rumored to be set to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, but it was said that he had to pull out of the project due to a schedule conflict. With Loki set to return in Doomsday, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to assume this rumor could be true. I know I’d like to see Mobius join in on the fun.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
