New AVENGERS: ENDGAME Footage Was Screened at CinemaCon and The Heroes are Racing To Thanos

Disney screened some brand new footage from Avengers: Endgame at CinemaCon and it was pretty damn cool. They showed about 5 to 7 minutes of footage from the film, and it seems like the kind of clip that might release before the movie is released because it’s not too spoilery.

But, if you don’t want to know what was shown…

The footage starts out with Captain Marvel hanging with several members of the surviving Avengers. She is hell bent on killing Thanos, and it doesn’t seem like it’s a big deal to her as she is walking out the door to go find him and kill him that Captain America is like, whoa! Hold on there, “We realize up there is more your territory, but this is our fight too.”

Black Widow chimes in and tells her that they don’t even know where Thanos is yet. Captain Marvel says that she knows people and can ask around and at this moment Nebula reveals that she knows where Thanos is. She explains that during her torture session to make her stronger and more perfect, he always talked about his grand plan to her and when she asked where they would go once the deed was done he told her The Garden on another planet, and that’s what she told the team.

Thanos actually visited the planet two days before executing his plan. Rocket Raccoon brings up a hologram of a planet in the universe that had an energy surge. It shows that two days ago a similar event to the one that occurred on Earth happened on another planet and that is where they say he used the Infinity Stones again. 

As you might expect, Captain Marvel is even more determined to kill Thanos and says, “Let’s get him and use the stones to bring everyone back.” This seems like this is their first plan to try and fix things.

Bruce Banner asks if it’s that easy, and Captain America is like, “yeah, it’s that easy.” Banner then asks what makes this fight with Thanos any different, and Captain Marvel replies, “Before, you didn’t have me.” Rhodey then asks her where she has been this whole time because they could have used her before and she replies, “There are a lot of other planets in the universe, and unfortunately, they didn’t have you guys.”

Thor is sitting in the background listening to the conversation and he gets up at this statement and comes face-to-face with Captain Marvel. He summons his weapon, Stormbreaker, she smiles at him and he says “I like her!”

Captain America then says, “Let’s go get this son of a bitch.” They are then racing through space and Rocket Raccoon is flying and he asks everyone if they have ever been to space. Most Avengers raise their hands and Rocket jokes about not wanting anyone to throw up on his ship.

There’s then a cool close-up shot of Captain America’s eyes and the reflection of space in them as they are flying through it. He’s obviously in awe.

I will point out here that Tony Stark was no where to be seen. I have no idea where he was at and no one mentioned him.

So, the team is racing off into space to confront Thanos and I have no idea what’s going to happen!

The movie was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and it stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26th, 2019.
