New Batman Animated Series BAT-FAM Drops Its Opening Sequence - Watch the Wild Gotham Family Assemble!
The Dark Knight is back, but this time, he’s bringing the family. Over the decades, Batman has worn many faces across comics, movies, and TV, but his latest animated incarnation is looking to shake up Gotham in a big way.
Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming animated series Bat-Fam just reelased its official opening sequence online, and it’s packed with color, chaos, and some surprising new faces joining the Wayne household.
Set to premiere on November 10th, Bat-Fam acts as a sequel to the 2023 holiday special Merry Little Batman. The new show once again centers on Damian Wayne, but instead of donning the Robin persona, he’s suiting up as Little Batman. Damian’s mission? Protect Gotham City while also figuring out what it means to be part of a very unconventional family.
Joining Damian on this offbeat adventure are some unexpected allies: Claire Selton (aka Volcana), Alicia Pennyworth, and Kirk Langstrom, better known as Man-Bat. Oh, and haunting the halls of Wayne Manor is none other than the ghost of Ra’s al Ghul, who seems to be hanging around as a bizarre sort of “frenemy.”
The show’s animation style pops with fun energy and leans into a younger, more comedic vibe. It’s a sharp contrast to the darker tones we usually see in Batman’s animated outings.
While Bruce Wayne is still fighting crime, the real fun of Bat-Fam lies in watching him try to manage this unpredictable new “family.” The series will feature ten episodes in total, giving fans plenty of time to explore this new spin on Gotham’s defenders.
Bat-Fam isn’t the only Batman project coming to Prime Video. The streaming service is also bringing back Batman: The Caped Crusader for a second season. Unlike Bat-Fam, this series dives deep into Gotham’s shadows with a much grittier tone.
Season one gave us dark new versions of villains like Harley Quinn, Clayface, Two-Face, Firefly, and the Penguin. But it saved the biggest reveal for last, a shadowy tease of the Joker preparing to unleash his toxin on the city.
So while Bat-Fam promises laughs, heart, and high-energy family chaos, The Caped Crusader is gearing up to remind fans why Gotham is still one of the most dangerous cities in pop culture. Two wildly different takes on the Dark Knight, both headed for Amazon.
