New Batman Poster For THE LEGO MOVIE 2 and a New Trailer Is Coming Tomorrow

I freaking love The LEGO Movie, so naturally I’m excited for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. What’s more exciting is that tomorrow we’re getting a brand spanking new trailer for the sequel as a couple of people involved in the film, including Chris Pratt, have said via social media. Also, while teasing the drop of a new trailer, Will Arnett showed us a new poster for the film featuring Batman with tire armor. I’m getting so stoked!

The returning cast includes Chris Pratt as Master Builder Emmet Brickowoski, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Will Arnett as Batman, Channing Tatum as Superman, and Jonah Hill as Green Lantern. Then there's Tiffany Haddish, who will be voicing a new lead character in the movie. The cast also includes Alison Brie as Unikitty and Nick Offerman as Metal Beard.

Here’s the synopsis:

The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, “The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part,” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

The movie will be directed by Mike Mitchell (Trolls, Shrek Forever After, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water). Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote and directed The LEGO Movie, wrote the first draft of the sequel's script which was then re-written by BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg. In addition, Lord and Miller will serve as producers.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is set for release on February 8, 2019.
