New Behind the Scenes Featurette for A TEACHER Takes a Deep Dive Into the Story Behind the Hulu Limited Series
FX on Hulu has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming limited series A Teacher, starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson. The series tells a story of a new teacher at a high school (Mara), who begins to tutor her student (Robinson), who gets good grades, but cannot afford to pay for tutors or extra classes to prepare him for test taking that will help him get into college. After spending time together, the two begin an affair, which causes their lives and the lives of those around them to unravel.
The featurette talks about the series taking a look at the relationship in terms of the female teacher and the male student, and how this form of abuse comes to happen so often. While the series chronicles their involvement, it then focuses on the aftermath and the psychology involved in what happens to them after making the decisions they did.
