New Behind the Scenes Featurette for KRAVEN THE HUNTER - "Making a Villain"
Sony Pictures has released a new featurette for Kraven the Hunter titled “Making a Villain” which offers a behind the scenes look at the making of the film and some insight into bringing this hardcore Marvel villain to life on the big screen.
The sneak peek offers some bloody new footage from the movie, and it also makes sure to drive home the fact that Kraven the Hunter is a "standalone" story. It’s also revealed that the film is being billed as a gangster story.
Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as Kraven.
In Kraven the Hunter, Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff is on a mission to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world. Taylor-Johnson called the project “a Marvel movie grounded heavily in the real world. We know he is a fierce hunter, a highly trained killer.” He excitedly proclaimed, “F**k yeah, it will be rated R!”
As with most of Sony’s Marvel movies, I’m not expecting much from the movie. I’m going in with super low expectations, but maybe it will be better than I think it will be.
J.C. Chandor is directing the movie from a script by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), and it also stars Ariana DeBose as Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, Alessandro Nivola as an unknown villain, Levi Miller, and Catch-22 star Christopher Abbott as the main villain, The Foreigner.
Kraven the Hunter movie in theaters nationwide on December 13th, 2024.
