The Legend of Vox Machina is a loose adaptation of Critical Role's first campaign, which focuses on a group of unlikely characters who come together to save the world from multiple cataclysmic threats. It’s really cool to see the series coming together like this! This is going to end up being a beautiful looking animated series.
Fans pledged over $11 million to make this series happen! Amazon Prime ended up securing the rights to the show and then they ordered an additional 14 episodes. The Legend of Vox Machina will air in two 12 episode seasons on Amazon Prime.
The Legend of Vox Machina is being produced by the animation studio Titmouse, and the series will be executive produced by Brandon Auman and Chris Prynoski in addition to the cast of Critical Role. Sung Jin Ahn will serve as executive director.
The first season of Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina is expected to air in late 2020.
