New BIRDS OF PREY Featurette Highlights the Fighting, Action, and Stunts
DC’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has been met with a lot of positive reviews. There have been a few media screenings for the film already, and for the most part people seem to be loving it. I haven’t seen the film myself yet, but with all of the positive buzz I’m seeing, maybe this movie will actually be good! With Harley Quinn being one of my favorite DC characters, and as a fan of Robbie’s take on her, I really do hope this movie ends up being as great as it’s being hyped up to be. Hey! It can’t be any worse than Suicide Squad!
One things that most people you have seen the film can agree on is that the action in the film is awesome and creative. Well, today we have a new featurette for you to watch that highlights the fighting, action, and stunt work in the film.
Director Cathy Yan previously talked about the action in the movie and how they wanted to it to be inspired by the style of Jackie Chan and John Wick.
The movie also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, and Ewan McGregor as Black Mask. Here’s the synopsis for the movie:
Since the events of Suicide Squad, Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime, and Harley Quinn has left the Joker. When Cassandra Cain, a young girl, comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to help protect her.
The movie will be released in theaters on February 7th, 2020.
