New "Blue Skies" Promo Spot For STAR TREK: PICARD

“All that silence. I’ve forgotten how much I loved it.”

The premiere of Star Trek: Picard is fast approaching and we’ve got another promo spot to share with you today called “Blue Skies”. The promo features a new version of Irving Berlin’s song ‘Blue Skies", which you may remember was previously sung by Brent Spiner’s Data in the 2002 Star Trek: Nemesis film. The inclusion of the song is obviously teasing something in regards to Data and his fate. There are also a few bits of other new footage to enjoy.

This series will tell a whole new chapter of Picard’s life, as he embarks on a mission to protect a mysterious and powerful young woman named Dahj (Isa Briones), who shares a connection with him. He assembles a small crew for a little galaxy-class or Sovereign-class flagship like the Enterprise and head back into the vastness of space.

His new crew includes cast members Santiago Cabrera as Cristobal “Chris” Rios, Michelle Hurd as Raffi Musiker, Alison Pill as Dr. Agnes Jurati, Harry Treadaway as Narek, and Evan Evagora as Elnor.

The series will also feature the return of Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: Voyager’s Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, and Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Star Trek: Picard comes to CBS All Access on January 23rd, 2020.
