New BUMBLEBEE Featurette Focuses on Director Travis Knight and His Vision For The film

That first Bumblebee trailer that was released was pretty incredible. A lot of fans were shocked by how great the movie looks. It's amazing what a difference a director can make. All we've gotten over the years is a bunch of silly eye-candy filled films from Michael Bay, and then director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) jumps in and actually gives us a Transformers film that looks true to the source material and actually finally brings some heart and soul to the franchise. After all these years, Knight may actually get it right!

We have a new featurette for you to watch today that focuses on the director and his vision for the film. It's actually very encouraging.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

The movie also stars John Cena (Ferdinand), John Ortiz (Kong: Skull Island), and Kenneth Choi (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Bumblebee opens December 21, 2018.

With an artful balance of humor and heart, director Travis Knight brings a new perspective to the Transformers universe in Bumblebee. Watch now to get a behind-the-scenes look at the film, starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena, and don't miss #BumblebeeMovie in theatres this Christmas.
