New Character Posters for DC's BIRDS OF PREY
Warner Bros. has shared a collection of character posters for DC’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and they offer us a look at Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), Roman Sionis/Black Mask (Ewan McGregor), and Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina). I’ll be honest, I’m not expecting much from this movie. Of course, I’ll go see it because I’m curious to see whether or not all of the bad things that I’ve heard are true. Going in with such low expectations, the movie has every opportunity to exceed them. If it turns out better than I expected, great! If not… well, that’s that. Regardless, I’m sure the movie will do well at the box office because it’s a DC movie and there are a lot of DC fans.
Here’s the synopsis for Birds of Prey:
Since the events of Suicide Squad, Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime, and Harley Quinn has left the Joker. When Cassandra Cain, a young girl, comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to help protect her.
The movie was directed by Cathy Yan, and it will be released on February 7th, 2020.
