New Character Posters for SCREAM Focus on the Legacy Franchise Cast
A few new character posters have been released for the next chapter of the Scream franchise, and they focus on the legacy franchise cast members. The posters feature Neve Campbell back in the role of Sidney Prescot, David Arquette as Dewey Riley, and Courteney Cox reprising her role as Gale Weathers.
The movie is set twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
I’m curious to see how this new story plays out and how this new string of Ghostface murders connect to the original characters.
The movie was helmed by the filmmaking team of Radio Silence, which consists of directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet, and the film also stars Melissa Barrera (In the Heights), Jenna Ortega (The Fallout), Mason Gooding (Tragedy Girls), Jack Quaid (The Boys), and Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why).
Scream creator Kevin Williamson is also back and producing the film, and the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on January 14, 2022.
