New Character Posters for THE BATMAN Want You to Unmask The Truth
Some new character posters have been shared for The Batman featuring new looks at Batman, Catwoman, The Riddler, and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has been sharing a lot of information in regards to the inspiration behind his versions of these characters, and fans seem super excited about seeing how their story arcs play out over the course of this movie.
I’m especially excited about The Riddler being the main villain as he terrorizes Gotham City as he leads Batman to uncover the dark truth of Gotham and how he’s connected to that truth. In fact, the posters come with the tagline, “Unmask The Truth.”
Robert Pattinson stars in the dual role of Gotham City's vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne. Starring alongside Pattinson as Gotham's famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD's James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
Here’s the synopsis:
Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies -- Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) -- amongst the city's corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
"When a killer targets Gotham's elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World's Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). The Batman hits theaters on March 4th.
