New CHUCKY Promo Video Features The Creator Discussing What To Expect From Season 1
Child’s Play creator Don Mancini appears in a new featurette of his upcoming Chucky series to talk about what fans can expect from the first season of the horror series. Everything from bullying and false friendship to love and laughter. There’s also a good amount of new footage to enjoy as well. This looks like a great show and while I’ve enjoyed watching the films that have been made over the years, this series will probably be better than the majority of them.
In the series, “after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
The series stars Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Teo Briones (Ratched), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak), and Björgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day) as series regulars and the four teen leads. Jennifer Tilly is also reprising her role as Tiffany Valentine from the movies, and Devon Sawa (Final Destination) has also signed up for a role. Brad Dourif is set to provide the voice of Chucky, which is a role he first played way back in 1988's Child's Play. He will be joined by his daughter, Fiona Dourif, who will reprise her role of Nica.
Chucky will premiere this fall on Syfy and USA Network on October 12th. You can watch the previously released trailer for it here.
