New Clip and Behind the Scenes Musical Featurette From the Making of CYRANO

A new clip and a new behind-the-scenes featurette have been released from the making of the musical film Cyrano. The film tells the classic tale of Cyrano de Bergerac, played by Peter Dinklage, and he is joined by Haley Bennett, who plays Roxanne, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Christian. The film is directed by Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice, Hanna), from a script adapted by Erica Schmidt, with new music from Aaron & Bryce Dessner and lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in Cyrano, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac (played by Peter Dinklage) dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne (Haley Bennett), Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her — and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.).

This looks like a beautiful and magical adaptation of the classic story, and I am excited to see it! Check out the clip and musical featurette below, and watch Cyrano when it hits theatres on February 25th.
