New Clip For Director Henry Selick’s Stop-Motion Animated Film WENDELL & WILD with Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key
Netflix has shared a new sneak peek at its stop-motion animated film project Wendell & Wild, a horror adventure film that comes from Henry Selick, the director of classic films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline.
The movie stars Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key as two “hellishly funny” demon brothers who recruit a teenage girl named Kat Elliot (Lyric Ross) to summon them to our reality, but she demands an unforgettable adventure in return.
The clip below centers on Kat who is sneaking through a school in search of a glowing demonic doll that is calling out to her. The synopsis for the film reads:
From the delightfully wicked minds of Henry Selick and Jordan Peele, comes Wendell & Wild, an animated tale about scheming demon brothers Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Peele) — who enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot — a tough teen with a load of guilt — to summon them to the Land of the Living. But what Kat demands in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comedic adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the handmade artistry of stop-motion.
It’s been years since we’ve seen a movie from director Henry Selick, so this movie is going to be a real treat. I’m looking forward to watching it! The movie will be released on Netflix in October!
