New Clip from Netflix's TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT Animated Series
Netflix has shared a clip from Legendary Television and Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. The clip sees Lara Croft and Jonah Maiava, a prominent character in the recent video game trilogy, in the middle of one of their explorations.
The series looks like it could be fun, but the more that I see from it, the worse the animation looks. I know they are trying to give this thing a whole anime film, but it’s pretty sub-par work.
Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) stars in the series and is providing the voice of Lara Croft.
The series is set after the events of the video game reboot trilogy. “Lara Croft, one of the video game world’s most iconic adventurers, makes her anime debut in an all-new series.
“Picking up after the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video-game reboot trilogy, the animated series will chart the globetrotting heroine’s latest, greatest adventure. Twenty-five years after her first game appeared, Lara continues to explore new territory.”
The anime is being written and executive produced by Tasha Huo. Dmitri M. Johnson, Stephan Bugaj, Howard Bliss, and Jacob Robinson will also oversee the series as producers.
The series will debut on Netflix on October 10th.
