New Clip from THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS + Tickets Now on Sale
A new clip has been released for the animated movie The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants in celebration of the film’s theater tickets going on sale.
The video is titled “Hero’s Journey Clip,” and it looks like it gives us some insight into what sets SpongeBob and Patrick off on their next adventure.
The movie is based on the series SpongeBob SquarePants created by Stephen Hillenburg, with a story by Marc Ceccarelli & Kaz and Pam Brady. The screenplay was written by Pam Brady and Matt Lieberman.
The movie is directed by Derek Drymon, and the voice cast includes Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Mr. Lawrence, George Lopez, Isis “Ice Spice” Gaston, Arturo Castro, Sherry Cola with Regina Hall and Mark Hamill.
The synopsis reads: “SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail in their biggest, all-new, can’t miss cinematic event ever…The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.
“Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman – a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate – on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.
