New COBRA KAI Season 4 Teaser Trailer Reveals the Return of Terry Silver!
Terry Silver is officially confirmed for Cobra Kai Season 4! Netflix has just shared a teaser trailer that gives us our first look at the return of the villain, who made his debut in The Karate Kid Part III. The character is once again being played by Thomas Ian Griffith. The teaser also includes a voiceover from the character, featuring lines of his dialogue from The Karate Kid Part III. The teaser then concludes with, “Now The Real Pain Begins.”
Terry Silver is the man who founded the Cobra Kai dojo, and we got to see his backstory throughout Cobra Kai Season 3 in the flashback sequences involving John Kreese. It was revealed reveal that Silver was a prisoner of war alongside Kreese during the Vietnam war. In the Season 3 finale, we saw Kreese call his old war buddy.
Executive producers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg said in a statement.
"Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been carefully orchestrating the right moment to unleash Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver back into the universe. That moment is now. We can’t wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith’s majestic return to the franchise."
It’s going to be really interesting to see Silver come back into the picture, especially with his past with Daniel Larusso. It’s like all of Daniel’s worst nightmares are coming back to haunt him! Luckily he’s got Johnny Lawrence on his side, now. I’m excited to see how this next chapter of the series plays out.
We don’t know much about the story for Cobra Kai Season 4, but we do know that Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) will be joining forces to take down John Kreese’s Cobra Kai. It was also revealed that the Season 4 premiere is titled "Let's Begin," calling back to the reveal of Daniel and Johnny working together at the very end of Season 3.
When previously teasing how the story will continue, executive producer and Jon Hurwitz said:
"You've seen Johnny and Daniel interact for a few seasons now and a movie wave way, way, way back when, and you've seen glimpses of them being able to get along and be on the same page and you've seen them throw fists on a dime. So anything is possible with the two of them together. They're united against the common enemy right now. And their intentions are all positive with what they want to do, but let's see what it's like for these two guys working together with the same goal, with their different approaches. Can they join forces in a way that is going to be productive and smooth sailing, or will there be bumps in the road? And that's what people are going to have to look forward to during season four."
