New Details for the GREEN LANTERN Series Coming to HBO Max

A few months ago we learned that producer Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Titans, Doom Patrol) was developing two new DC projects for HBO Max. Those projects include Strange Adventures and a Green Lantern series.

Strange Adventures was described as “a DC Super Hero anthology series that will feature characters from across the DC canon. This one-hour drama series will explore close-ended morality tales about the intersecting lives of mortals and superhumans.”

We didn’t have any details on the Green Lantern series… until now. While talking to the press at TCA, HBO Max Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey offered the following information:

“It’s going to span several decades on focus on two stories about Green Lanterns on Earth as well as one in space going into the Sinestro story.”

That sounds like it could be an epic and ambitious series, and I’m totally up for it! As many of you already know, Sinestro is a former Green Lantern Corps member who was dishonorably discharged for abusing his power. He is the archenemy of Hal Jordan and founder of the Sinestro Corps. Sinestro appeared in the 2011 feature film and was played by Mark Strong.

There’s still a lot that we don’t know about the show, but we’ll keep you updated as the information becomes available!
