New Details on Black Panther's Role in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Some more information regarding Captain America: Civil War has surfaced, and it involves some new details on the role Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will play in the story. The following information comes from a press junket interview that Birth.Movies.Death did with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
When asked if T'Challa would actually begin the movie as the Black Panther, as opposed to his father T'Chaka, Feige said:
"I don’t know how to answer that question without spoiling it! It is a role that he is still in the beginning phases of taking on, it’s a mantle he is only beginning to take on because his father is older."
He then goes on to explain why T'Challa will be making his cinematic debut as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, instead of just launching with a solo Black Panther movie:
"The reason we introduced him in Civil War is because we needed a third party. We needed fresh eyes who wasn’t embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Tony or Steve. We said, ‘We need somebody like Black Panther… why don’t we just use Black Panther?’ That’s how it went in the development process."

Fans are excited to see how Black Panther is going to be brought to life for the big screen. He's going to play a hefty role in the MCU, and it going to be awesome to watch the character grow and evolve though the years like we've seen happen over the course of the other superheroes in the previously released films. Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6th, 2016 and Black Panther hits theaters on July 6th, 2018.
