New Details Regarding Hulu's Series Adaptation of THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

Several months ago we learned that Hulu was developing a series adaptation of the classic British sci-fi property, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was created by Douglas Adams and the series is being developed by showrunner, writer, and producer Carlton Cuse, who is best known for his work on Lost, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Locke & Key. The series will also be written by Jason Fuchs who is best-known for his work on Wonder Woman and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

Thanks to Geeks Worldwide, we’ve got some new details to share with you. They say that production is set to start this summer in Elstree Studios, United Kingdom and that the show will premiere next year in 2021.

It’s also reported that the series will be directed by Morten Tyldum (Headhunters, The Imitation Game) and that the show will not be a limited series. They say that there are multiple seasons being planned out. And in case you were wondering, the series will have no connection to the 2005 film.

The series follows the intergalactic adventures of Arthur Dent, “a hapless Englishman, following the destruction of the Earth by the Vogons, a race of unpleasant and bureaucratic aliens.”

The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy will air exclusively on Hulu in the United States, with it being distributed internationally by FOX.

I’ve got high hopes for this series and I hope that it lives up to the expectations of the fans.
