New Details Shared on the Shelved ALIEN VS PREDATOR Anime

A couple of months ago we learned that an entire 10-episode season of an Alien Vs. Predator anime was completed before Disney bought Fox. Disney has since shelved the project for some reason, and as of right now, they have no plans of releasing it.

Joshua Izzo, former licensing director at 20th Century Fox prior to Disney's acquisition of the company and founder of Alien Day in 2016, previously talked about this project:

"There is, sitting at Disney now, at 20th Studios, 10 episodes of a fully completed Alien vs. Predator anime series that I produced. It’s done. It’s in the can. It’s mixed; it’s finished. It was produced and story cracked by Eric Calderon and Dave Baker, two unbelievably crazy talented guys."

The director of the series, Shinji Aramaki, has confirmed this series does indeed exist and he offered some additional details at Otakon this past weekend. While there he showed off screenshots and designs from the anime, which is titled Aliens vs Predator: Annihilation.

He went on to offer some info on the story saying that it “took place on a massive ship used for immigration. Various predator factions were involved with the show's plot, and the aliens we first met under director Ridley Scott played a major role. But when it comes to specifics, Aramaki said he would refrain from spilling the beans should the Aliens vs Predator anime ever see the light of day.”

It’s a shame that Disney is just sitting on this anime right now. There are a ton of fans who would love to watch it! Someone over there has got to try and push this series to be released!
