New DEXTER Series Announced with Michael C. Hall Set To Star - DEXTER: RESURRECTION

Showtime announced at Comic-Con recently that a new Dexter spinoff series is being developed titled Dexter: Resurrection and Michael C. Hall, is set to reprise his role as Dexter Morgan.

This series is in addition to the upcoming prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, which is set in the 90s and Hall serves as narrator of the series.

Dexter: Resurrection is set in the present day and is a follow-up to the 2021 Dexter: New Blood. The plan is to launch the series in the summer 2025.

There’s not much more information to share on the show or details on how Dexter will return considering what happened to him at the end of Dexter: New Blood.

In the finale of New Blood, Dexter is seemingly murdered by his grown-up son Harrison (Jack Alcott). With a title like Resurrection, it seems that Dexter may still be alive.

But, the other option is that he will appear to his son in the same way his dad appeared to him as a mental manifestation over the course of the original series.l
