New Featurette For Edgar Wright's BABY DRIVER Focuses on The Impressive Real Car Stunts
There was a time when stunts were much more relevant to car chase sequences in movies. Recently, movies have gone with using CGI and cheap camera tricks to shoot a lot of car scenes, but it looks like director Edgar Wright goes back to the old-fashioned way of doing things for his next film Baby Driver.
This latest featurette that was released, called "Revved Up" takes us behind-the-scenes of the film and shows that all the actors were trained in stunt driving and are there to perform many of the actual driving stunts in the film. Cars spinning around making death defying moves may be scripted to do that, but it's done for real in this movie! It's reasons like this that make Edgar Wright such a great director. Not only does he care about good story and characters, but the attention to detail he puts in for each of his shots. He cares enough to have the actors know what they're doing and be there in the moment for the films.
This featurette is pretty awesome and it teases some of the fantastic car stunts that you'll see in the movie. Check it out below.
The movie also has a talented cast that includes Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx, Elsa Gonzalez, Lily James, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Spacey. Here's the synopsis:
A talented, young getaway driver (Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Baby Driver hits theaters on June 28th.
