New Featurette for HARLEY QUINN: BIRDS OF PREY Offers a Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Making of the Film
Before Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey hits VOD today, Warner Bros. has shared a new eight minute featurette that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film and how it all came together. If you are a fan of the film, you’ll definitely find this interesting.
It features the cast and crew of the film talking about how they set out to make a bat-shit crazy R-rated girl gang film. I personally think that on top of a better story for Harley and her girl gang, the film was still pretty tame for what I think they set out to accomplish. I think the movie should have been a lot more wild and crazy. It seemed to me like they were still holding back. If you want a reference on what Birds of Prey should have been, go watch the Harley Quinn animated series on DC Universe!
Regardless, there is a fanbase out there for this movie, and I know a lot of people will enjoy watching it again when it’s released on VOD on March 24th. Check out the featurette below that offers some interesting insight into what the creative team was looking to do with this movie.
Birds of Prey was directed by Cathy Yan from a script written by Christina Hodson and this is the synopsis for the film:
When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor), and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz (Chris Messina), put a target on a young girl named Cass (Ella Jay Basco), the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley (Margot Robbie), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez)’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
Will you be watching Birds of Prey again on VOD this week?
