New Featurette for Stephen King's PET SEMATARY Focuses on the True Horror of the Story
We’ve got a new featurette to share with you for the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. It features new footage from the film and interviews with the cast and crew as they talk about the true horror of the terrifying tale.
Some of the interviews are with directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch and stars Jason Clarke who plays Dr. Louis Creed and John Lithgow who plays Jud Crandall. In the video, Lithgow intensely says that this movie is going to take audiences on a “wild trip.”
I really do hope that this movie does King’s story justice. Pet Sematary is, in my opinion, his most terrifying creation. The original film also scared the hell out of me, and I’m expecting this movie to do the same thing for audiences.
Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Pet Sematary is set to be released in theaters on April 19, 2019.
