New Trailer for Horror Thriller ANTEBELLUM Sees Janelle Monae Travel Back in Time into Slavery

We’ve got a new trailer for you to check out for the upcoming horror thriller Antebellum, starring Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures, Harriet) as a woman in modern day who somehow travels back in time and becomes a slave on a plantation. This trailer doesn’t answer any questions about how or why this happens, so I am as confused as ever about what’s going on, but I’m intrigued for sure.

The film comes from Get Out and Us producer QC Entertainment, and is co-written and co-directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, who have previously collaborated on short films 17 Seventeen and Kill Jay-Z. Monae is joined by Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Lady and the Tramp), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious, American Horror Story), Jena Malone (Saved, The Hunger Games trilogy), Eric Lange (Narcos, Unbelievable), Jack Huston (American Hustle, Fargo), Tongayi Chirisa (The Jim Gaffigan Show, iZombie), Marque Richardson (True Blood, Dear White People), Robert Aramayo (Game of Thrones, Galveston), and Lily Cowles (Roswell, New Mexico).

Check out the crazy trailer below, and see Antebellum in theaters on April 24, 2020. Are you down?
