New Full Trailer For STARGATE: ORIGINS is Filled With Adventure and Intrigue
MGM has released a fantastic new full trailer for their upcoming Stargate: Origins series and it looks like it's going to be spectacularly fun! I love the tone of this as it has that adventurous Indiana Jones tone and spirit that a lot of fans enjoy. The trailer features lots of new footage an additional detail on the story that the series will tell. Here's the synopsis:
In 1939, Professor Paul Langford and his daughter Catherine are still grappling with the mysteries of the ancient relic they discovered in the Egyptian desert more than ten years ago. With war looming in Europe and funding running out, these brilliant minds are approaching their lowest ebb. Little do they know, answers are about to present themselves in a dangerous form, when the Nazi Occultist Dr. Wilhelm Brücke approaches their facility with a sinister motive.
Enlisting the help of two young soldiers, Catherine must use all of her wit and nous as she and her new allies embark on an adventure into the unknown to rescue her father, and save the Earth from an unimaginable darkness.
The series is being directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan and it stars Connor Trinneer (Stargate Atlantis), who will play Catherine's father, Professor Langford. The rest of the cast includes S alome Azizi, Philip Alexander, Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez, Daniel Rashid, Sarah Navratil, Shvan Aladdin, Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, Derek Chariton, Justin Michael Terry and Lincoln Werner Hoppe.
Stargate Origins is being developed as a digital series that will consist of 10 episodes that run 10 minutes in length. It will be exclusively shown on a new website called Stargate Command. According to MGM, this website will also be an official destination for all things Stargate, including a “variety of Stargate assets and content from the franchise’s nearly 25-year history.” If you're interested in watching Stargate: Origins, you can sign up for a subscription to Stargate Command for $25.
Stargate: Origins will debut on February 15, 2018.
