New GEN V Season 2 Teaser Brings Starlight, The Boys, and Big Crossovers
A new teaser trailer for Gen V Season 2 has arrived and it’s loaded with crossovers, new threats, and the promise of even more chaos in the world of The Boys. The teaser sets up Marie Moreau’s growing importance in the supe war, introduces Cipher as Godolkin’s new dean, and gives fans a glimpse at several familiar faces from the flagship series.
Picking up after the events of The Boys Season 4, the new season sends Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, and her classmates back into the twisted halls of Godolkin University.
One of the biggest moments in the teaser shows Marie teaming up with Starlight, played by Erin Moriarty, cementing a long-awaited crossover. Cipher, portrayed by Hamish Linklater, takes charge of Godolkin as its new dean and pushes a more militarized curriculum.
Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) rise as the so-called “Guardians of Godolkin,” while Lizze Broadway, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Sean Patrick Thomas are all back. New to the cast is Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the infamous school.
The trailer teases a dark new thread in the form of Project Odessa, a secret program dating back to World War II, further weaving the spin-off into the mythology of The Boys.
Fans will also see appearances from Homelander (Antony Starr), Firecracker (Valorie Curry), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward), who remains firmly in Homelander’s corner. Explosions, brutal showdowns, and escalating tensions between humans and supes dominate the footage.
Producer Eric Kripke teased Marie’s growing power, saying: “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet?”
Sinclair added, “I just like that she’s an underdog, and I like that she’s a Black woman, too. This super sexist, patriarchal bad guy. I would love to see him get his ass handed to him by a Black woman.”
Season 2 will also honor the late Chance Perdomo, who tragically passed earlier this year. Showrunner Michele Fazekas explained: “It felt really important. The thing I’m most proud of, when you watch the entirety of the season, is he is there the whole way, in a way that feels real.”
With returning favorites, new supes, and deeper ties to The Boys, Gen V Season 2 is shaping up to be an fun continuation of Prime Video’s gritty superhero universe.
Season 2 will include eight episodes, with the first three premiering on September 17, 2025, followed by weekly releases through October 22.
