New Ghostbusters Game Announced with Trailer for GHOSTBUSTERS: SPIRITS UNLEASHED

IllFonic has announced a new Ghostbusters video game titledGhostbusters: Spirits Unleashed and the first trailer for that game has been released. The game comes from the same developers who developed Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Grounds.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed follows four players controlling a team of Ghostbusters, and then there’s a fifth player on the opposing team who plays as a ghost. Here’s the description that’s been released for the game:

As a Ghostbuster, join with other Ghostbusters to chase and trap ghosts in museums, prisons, hotels, and more, and capture the ghosts before they can fully haunt the areas.

Or, as the Ghost, hide, sneak, surprise, scare, and of course, slime Ghostbusters and civilians until the everything has gone completely spooky. Use trickery, deception, and Ectoplasm to gain the upper hand and drive the Ghostbusters out.

The game doesn’t really look amazing visually, but it looks like that gameplay experience will be fun. The game also features the voices of Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is scheduled to be released at some point in Q4 2022, and it will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
