It’s going to be pretty cool to see Godzilla and King Kong face-off with each other in Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla Vs. Kong.

The movie is being directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest, Your Next, Death Note), and this is the fourth movie that will be released in Legendary’s monster universe, which also consists of 2004’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

This next movie will see the two iconic giant monsters clash amid a "human conspiracy" to wipe out the giant monsters for good. There’s a brief new synopsis that was shared for the film, but before we get to that, this is the previous synopsis that was released:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

The new blurb teases that one of these titans will stand to become King of the monsters and one will fall. It reads:

"As the gigantic Kong meets the unstoppable Godzilla, the world watches to see which one of them will become King of the Monsters."

While I love Kong, I just down think he stands a chance against Godzilla. While he has strength, Godzilla can easily match that strength, but also has atomic breath that has nuclear power. So, unless they give Kong a special power, I don’t think he’s gonna make it. What do you think? Who do you think will win in the fight?

The arrival of King Kong was teased in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The crossover event stars Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Demian Bichir (The Nun), Van Marten (The Walking Dead), and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon).

Godzilla Vs. Kong will hit theaters on November 20th, 2020. The movie will be rated PG-13 and the director called it “an understatement.”
